Crusaders Tame Bears, Twice, in Season Opener
The Crusaders opened the season at the Rogers Tennis Courts at Dawson and came away with two wins, as the Girls notched a 4-1 victory while the Boys worked their way to a 3-2 win over the Bears.
Starting with the Girls: Geneva posted a hard fought 6-4 win over her good friend at 1st singles while Madeline matched that score with victory at 2nd singles. Brooklyn and Vivienne posted a 6-1 win at 1st singles while Annie and Addy ended the day with a 6-1 win to account for the final tally.
The Boys also got wins from the two singles spots, with Dean winning 6-1 at 1st singles and Kingston getting a 6-2 win at 2nd singles. Doubles was a little jumbled as we had to mix and match some pairs, but the Crusaders stepped up at the top, with Graham and Collin teaming up for a 6-1 win which got the Crusaders the clinching third team point.
