2024 Nevada Preps All-Southern Girls Volleyball Teams

The Review Journal has selected the All Southern Girls Volleyball teams for the 2024 Season. Congratulations to the Faith Lutheran Girls Volleyball athletes for their selections.

2024 Volleyball Awards

The FLHS Volleyball team was honored with many post season awards. 1st Team All Conference award winners were Leah Hernandez and Andrea Romero-Agosto. 2nd Team All Conference award winner was Parker Lafontaine. FLHS VB also received Coach of the Year honors. 2nd Team All Region Award winners go to Leah Hernandez and Andrea-Romero Agosto.

National AVCA Region 9 award winner goes to Andrea-Romero Agosto. Congratulations to all the award winners and the Faith Lutheran Volleyball Team!
Faith Lutheran sweeps Sierra Vista in girls volleyball

Faith Lutheran rolled to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 road win at Sierra Vista in a girls volleyball match Wednesday night.
Leah Hernandez had 17 digs for Faith Lutheran (8-5, 3-1 Class 5A Desert League). Parker LaFontaine had eight kills and three aces, and Andrea Romero-Agosto added six assists for the Crusaders.

Faith Lutheran next plays at Basic at 6 p.m. Sept. 19, and Sierra Vista (14-6, 3-2) plays at Shadow Ridge at 6 p.m. Monday.

Coach Fisher has been the Head Volleyball Coach at Faith Lutheran since 2006. During her tenure her teams have competed in the 3A, 4A, 5A and Divison 1A. Her overall record at Faith is 393-214 and 154-31 in conference play. Coach Fisher earned her 300th Faith Lutheran win in 2018.

The Crusaders have appeared in six state tournaments since 2006. The team won three consecutive state championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2013, the Crusaders won their first state championship (Division 1A) in the history of the program. In 2018, the Crusasders qualified for their first 4A state tournament and placed 3rd and placed 2nd in the Mountain Region. In 2012, the team placed 3rd in D1-A and in 2006 the Crusaders placed 2nd in the 3A. While in the 3A the Crusaders won three conference championships and a regional championship. After joining the D1-A in 2012, the team won conference and regional championships in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. 2016 saw the Crusaders move to Division 4A and the Crusaders tied for the 2^nd in the Northwest Division.

Coach Fisher has been selected numerous times by her peers as Coach of the Year. She was also selected for the Southern Nevada’s NIAA Role Model Coach of the Year Award in 2009.

Coach Fisher has served as Athletic Director at Faith since 2012 and has been teaching at Faith since 2002 in the areas of Health, Biology, Earth Science and Anatomy.

Prior to coming to Faith Lutheran, Coach Fisher taught and coached at the university level in the Midwest. She was the Head Coach at Winona State University in Winona, MN as well as assistant professor in health from 1995-2002. She also assistant coached at North Dakota State University in 1994 and the team placed in the top 5 in NCAA Division II. Her most extensive experience came at Northern Michigan University where she was the assistant coach of a team that placed 3rd and 2nd respectively in the NCAA Division II. She also coached numerous All-Americans and NCAA Division II Player of the Year athletes.

Coach Fisher graduated from Luther College in Decorah, IA where she was a four-year letter-winner in volleyball. During her time as a player she earned All-Conference honors as well as team MVP. She graduated with a degree in Biology Education. She received her Master’s degree in 1992 from Northern Michigan University in Exercise Science.

Coach Fisher is originally from Bellevue, IA.
