Coach Schmidt was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he played high school lacrosse and footballat Upper Arlington High School. After graduating high school, Coach Schmidt attended the University ofMaryland, where he started as a defenseman for the Maryland Lacrosse Team for 4 years. Coach Schmidt graduated from the University of Maryland with 3 All-American honors in lacrosse and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication.
After college Coach Schmidt went on to play 6 years in Major League Lacrosse, winningan MLL title in 2016. After college, Coach Schmidt married his college sweetheart in August of 2011.Abbey was a college gymnast at the University of Maryland. Coach Max and Abigail moved to Las Vegas in 2014 where he has been coaching the Faith Lutheran Varsity Lacrosse team for the past 4 years. CoachMax and Abbey have a daughter, Rowyn (3 years), a son, Ezekiel (1 year), and a red Lab, Maya.

is also the Director of Athletic Performance at the high school. Coach currently holds a professional membership in the NHSSCA and is certified HSSCS.
