Academic Support – Free Tutoring (starting September 8, 2026) Monday - Thursday afternoons from 2:45-3:45 pm and Tuesday mornings from 7:30–8:30 am in Room 406 (Canarelli Academic Support Center) High School Honors Society students are available to support both middle school and high school students in all subjects. Students should come prepared with their materials and specific questions to make the most of the session. (5/17), MS & HS
MS Homework Club - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:00 pm in Portable 52 (starting August 13, 2026) After school, MS students can go to FAST, but FAST is not always an environment conducive to working on and/or getting help on homework. Homework club seeks to provide a place where students can have a silent environment strictly for the purposes of working on homework assignments. The teacher is available to help students one-on-one as they work. However, the teacher will not sit down with a student and go through an entire assignment with them, problem by problem, for example. (5/14), MS
Hi Families, we are excited to partner with Excel Academy to offer several SAT and PSAT Bootcamps throughout the 2026 to 2027 school year. These two-day bootcamps are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen test-taking strategies, and prepare for upcoming SAT and PSAT exams. MS & HS Sports Physicals – Please use NEW NIAA Physical forms as of 6/5/25: You can obtain the most current physical forms/instructions from Crusader Connect, Resources Page, under MS/HS Sports Registration Information. Aktivate Instructions/NIAA NEW Physical Forms, MS & HS
Please do not use the physical forms provided by the doctor’s office. They are usually not current and will be rejected.
Physicals expire 12 months from the date of exam. –Up to date physicals are required for the 2026/2027 school year. It is recommended to schedule your physical over the summer break so it’s good for the whole year.
All completed physicals must be uploaded into Aktivate for approval. --If your athlete’s physical expires before or during their season, they will not be allowed to try out for a team.
Example: Your child is trying out for a fall sport, your previously completed physical was done on 11/10/25. The physical is expired as of 11/10/26. It will not be valid for the 2026/2027 Fall season since it expires during the Fall season. A new physical must be obtained before the season in order for your athlete to try out for their Fall sport.

NAHS will begin meeting each Monday at lunch in room 103 starting August 17th. Come check out our only high school art club. All deliveries for students will go to the back of the school. Items dropped off by parents will be accepted beginning at 8:30am until 1:30pm by The Shield warehouse green gate. A sign on the gate will provide instructions to obtain access to the rack for items. Parents will be able to place their student’s items on the rack that can be accessed by the student via the Student Center. We will not be responsible for monitoring or securing any item on the rack. This includes phones, computer devices, musical instruments, or homework. Balloons, gifts, group food for classes, flowers, etc. may not be dropped off for students! Thank you for understanding! On-Call Bus Driver
The On-Call Bus Driver plays an important role in safely transporting students, staff, and chaperones to events and field trips. This position helps ensure a smooth and reliable travel experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed vehicle. Ideal for someone who is responsible, safety-focused, and enjoys supporting students beyond the classroom.

Substitute Teacher
The position of a Substitute Teacher will implement into daily instruction appropriate educational curriculum based on the Nevada State Standards and the course syllabi. The Substitute Teacher is responsible to create and maintain an educational and Christian atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports the mission of the school.

[Jesus said] “Pray then like this: Our Father in heaven … forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:9a, 12)
In Jesus’ family, forgiveness is a non-negotiable. What were the non-negotiables you were raised with? By non-negotiables, I mean the things that could finish the sentence, “In this family we …” Such as, “In this family at dinner time we try at least one bite of everything.” Or “In this family we go on trips in the summer,” or “We go to church on Sundays.” Non-negotiables are the fabric we work with, the water we swim in, the raw material we need to make a life. Change the non-negotiables and you change the family. So also, with God. To expect God not to care about forgiveness, is to ask God to be a different god, a god of our own making, and then to trust in that god, instead of the God and Father of Jesus.
There was an instance when Jesus’ first followers wanted to test this. “Is forgiveness really necessary in every situation?” they wondered. “What if you have a good reason not to forgive someone? Say, like, they did it on purpose? And even though you’ve told them how much you hate it when they do that, this is at least the seventh time they’ve done it, and they’re not even trying to change? What about then? There’ve got to be more important things than forgiveness, Jesus, like sanity, common decency, right?”
Jesus answers their question with a hypothetical story. It went something like this: there’s this king, see. And one of his servants owes him a ridiculously huge debt. The king tells him it’s time; it’s time to settle up. The guy pleads for patience. “Give me more time, please.” He actually thinks he can repay it? The king knows he can’t. But moved with compassion, the king forgives him. The guy is free. And the first thing he does is to find a fellow servant who owes him a debt—tiny debt by comparison. He starts to choke his co-worker: “Give me my money!” Gasping for air, the guy in the chokehold says, “Give me more time, please!” But the first guy refuses, throws him in prison. The king gets word of this. He calls the first guy back; he tells him, “I expected my forgiveness to begin to transform the way you see the world and the way you treat people. But clearly you don’t want that. So, I’m taking it back.” And he put him in prison until he should repay every cent. Then Jesus says to His followers, “So also will My Heavenly Father do to every one of you if you do not forgive your brother from your heart” (Matthew 18:35).
Jesus assures us that in this family, no debt is too big to forgive because forgiveness doesn’t start with us, but with God. It’s God’s non-negotiable—not ours. Our forgiveness is just God’s forgiveness flowing through us. We’re participating in God’s life when we forgive. God’s life and God’s forgiveness are just two ways of saying the same thing. If I shut out God’s forgiveness, then I shut out God’s life. If you refuse to let God’s forgiveness flow through you, then you refuse God Himself.
Do you have someone in a chokehold of unforgiveness? It’s not too late, you know. Jesus told this story because He loves you. So, take a deep breath. Loosen your grip a little. And let God’s love flow through you, and to you, because He still wants you in His family. And in this family, we forgive each other.
WE PRAY: Dear Father, let Your forgiveness have its way with me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
