  • Help bring Doral Saddle’s Trunk or Treat to life! 🎃 Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with setup, decorations, games, food, bounce houses, check in, the haunted maze, cleanup, and more! Setup shifts are available from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with event shifts from 3:15 to 6:15 PM and 5:15 to 8:15 PM. Volunteers can work more than one shift.   • Academic Support – Free Tutoring (starting September 8, 2026) Monday - Thursday afternoons from 2:45-3:45 pm and Tuesday mornings from 7:30–8:30 am in Room 406 (Canarelli Academic Support Center) High School Honors Society students are available to support both middle school and high school students in all subjects. Students should come prepared with their materials and specific questions to make the most of the session. (5/17), MS & HS

  • MS Homework Club - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:00 pm in Portable 52 (starting August 13, 2026) After school, MS students can go to FAST, but FAST is not always an environment conducive to working on and/or getting help on homework. Homework club seeks to provide a place where students can have a silent environment strictly for the purposes of working on homework assignments. The teacher is available to help students one-on-one as they work. However, the teacher will not sit down with a student and go through an entire assignment with them, problem by problem, for example. (5/14), MS

  • Hi Families, we are excited to partner with Excel Academy to offer several SAT and PSAT Bootcamps throughout the 2026 to 2027 school year. These two-day bootcamps are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen test-taking strategies, and prepare for upcoming SAT and PSAT exams.   • Aktivate: Registration for the 2026/2027 school year opened 6/1/26. If you are planning on participating in High School Sports, we recommend completing your Aktivate registration & physical as soon as possible The website is as follows: www.aktivate.com, MS & HS

  • MS & HS Sports Physicals – Please use NEW NIAA Physical forms as of 6/5/25: You can obtain the most current physical forms/instructions from Crusader Connect, Resources Page, under MS/HS Sports Registration Information. Aktivate Instructions/NIAA NEW Physical Forms, MS & HS

    • Please do not use the physical forms provided by the doctor’s office. They are usually not current and will be rejected.

    • Physicals expire 12 months from the date of exam. –Up to date physicals are required for the 2026/2027 school year. It is recommended to schedule your physical over the summer break so it’s good for the whole year.

    • All completed physicals must be uploaded into Aktivate for approval. --If your athlete’s physical expires before or during their season, they will not be allowed to try out for a team.

    • Example: Your child is trying out for a fall sport, your previously completed physical was done on 11/10/25. The physical is expired as of 11/10/26. It will not be valid for the 2026/2027 Fall season since it expires during the Fall season. A new physical must be obtained before the season in order for your athlete to try out for their Fall sport.

  • All deliveries for students will go to the back of the school. Items dropped off by parents will be accepted beginning at 8:30am until 1:30pm by The Shield warehouse green gate. A sign on the gate will provide instructions to obtain access to the rack for items. Parents will be able to place their student’s items on the rack that can be accessed by the student via the Student Center. We will not be responsible for monitoring or securing any item on the rack.   • On-Call Bus Driver

    • The On-Call Bus Driver plays an important role in safely transporting students, staff, and chaperones to events and field trips. This position helps ensure a smooth and reliable travel experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed vehicle. Ideal for someone who is responsible, safety-focused, and enjoys supporting students beyond the classroom.

  • High School Director of Student Life

    • This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering an effective and comprehensive student life program to enrich the Faith Lutheran High School’s environment, and provide leadership to and supervision of staff members, student leadership, and volunteers associated with this ministry. All job duties are carried out consistent with the mission of the school and meet the overarching goals below.

  • Maintenance Technician

    • The position of Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the campus is kept in good and functional working order. Highly skilled in the repairs of plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, flooring, painting, etc., as well as completing all campus set-up and tear downs for all school functions.

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! He covers the heavens with clouds; He prepares rain for the earth; He makes grass grow on the hills. He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry. (Psalm 147:7-9)

People who follow the religious belief of deism believe that God created the world but then backed away from His creation to let it run on its own. According to deists, God generally does not involve Himself in the daily life of the world or its people. In opposition to this false idea about God and His work, Holy Scripture tells us the truth about our Creator. God has not abandoned the world and the people He created.

Our Creator is very involved in the daily life of His creation. He sustains the world and all of its creatures. God sets the clouds in the sky as He prepares to send rain on the thirsty earth. He makes the grass grow to feed livestock and wild animals. He provides food for wild birds and beasts. He causes springs of water to “gush forth in the valleys,” to “give drink to every beast of the field” (Psalm 104:10b, 11b). God sends rain and “the earth is satisfied” with His loving work (Psalm 104:13b). Through His care for creation, God testifies to His own power and glory: “He did not leave Himself without witness, for He did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness” (Acts 14:17). Although many people like to imagine that they are free from such divine oversight and care, they are not. God “gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place” (Acts 17:25b-26).

God’s love for the world and the people He made extends far beyond the provision of crops and rain. Although in sinful pride people reject their Creator’s love and refuse to acknowledge His majesty, God reached down in mercy to save the people He created and loves. He sent His Son, our Lord Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross and by His death to reconcile the world to Himself. God calls on all people to repent and believe the good news of Jesus’ saving work. God’s care for His creation becomes a lesson about His love for us, love that will continue into eternity: “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

WE PRAY: Lord God, each day You care for me and for all of creation. I will praise You with songs of thanksgiving! Amen.

  1. If God created the world but then wasn’t concerned about it, would the birth of Jesus make sense?

  2. What does Scripture tell us about God’s involvement in creation?

  3. How ought we to care for the natural world around us? For the people around us?
