10/15/26 | Faith Gray team dominates in 7th-8th grade volleyball
Faith's Gray team dominated Cornerstone Thursday, October 15, 25-5, 25-10. Gray heads to the playoffs next Monday at Dawson at 5:30 p.m.
"All the girls did an amazing job," Coach Sophia Rivera said. "They worked hard and played together to get the win."
10/15/26 | Crusader Gold team ekes out flag football victory
Faith's Gold team in 6th grade boys flag football struggled early on offense at Alexander Dawson Monday, October 12, but prevailed in overtime, 13-12.
"It was a super rocky first half, and we couldn't move the ball at all," Coach Keywali Anderson said.
In the second half, Faith got the ball first, drove down, and scored. With under four minutes remaining, Dawson had the ball at Faith's 5-yard line, but the Gold defense got a key stop, which eventually sent the game to overtime.
Faith won the toss and deferred for overtime. Dawson got the ball first and scored a touchdown, but Austin Edgar intercepted the Bears' extra-point attempt. Gold then got the ball, scored a touchdown, and converted the extra point to secure a close 13-12 win.
The Gold team enters postseason play Monday, October 19, at 4:30 p.m. at Las Vegas Day School.
10/14/26 | Faith runners sweep Red Rock conference championships
Faith cross country runners dominated the Red Rock Athletic Conference championships Wednesday, October 14, at Faith Lutheran, winning all four races.
The first race of the day was the 5th and 6th grade girls, where the Crusaders took all three top individual spots for a perfect team score of 6. Faith Academy finished second with 33 points, edging Las Vegas Day School by one. Faith was led by Olivia Tobin at 6:10:41. She was followed by teammates Sadie Ault and Rosalie Matthew.
The second race of the day was the 5th and 6th grade boys, where again the Crusaders took all three top individual places, led by Robert Trares at 5:54:24, followed by Keiji McLemore and John Carter. Faith’s perfect 6 points was trailed by second-place Day School (26 points) and Faith Academy (29 points).
The competition was tighter in the 7th and 8th grade races. The Crusader girls still took three of the top four spots, led by Lyla Baumgart and Ayla Lorenz, who took second and third place. Faith’s 9 points outpaced Day School’s 12, and Adelson finished third at 41 points.
Faith’s 7th and 8th grade boys had just one top-three finisher, Roman Calvo in third, but also took fifth and sixth place to score 14 points and beat second-place Day School by four. Adelson finished third with 36 points.
10/12/26 | Faith Black wins barn burner to lead Crusader sweep
All three Faith volleyball teams in action Monday, October 12, came out on top, led by a rousing 2-1 win by the 7th-8th grade Black team over previously undefeated Doral Red Rock. Faith Black hosts Legacy Southwest October 27 at 6 p.m.
In other 7th-8th grade play, the Faith Maroon team won handily, 25-5, 25-10, over Coral Nellis. Abbey Anderson had a long serving run, and Coach Megan Kinkenon described Avery Kirk as “on fire, offensively.”
In 6th grade play, it was a clash of 1st place vs. 2nd place in the Red Rock Athletic Conference, and league-leading Faith Maroon won in two vs. Meadows Blue, 25-10, 25-18, to remain undefeated. Laella LaFayette served six points in a row with multiple aces. Lisa Komaromi, Avery Vejabul, and Lindsey Minor each had two kills.
10/10/26 | Crusader tacklers drop a close one
The Las Vegas Jets held off a late charge by the Crusaders to win in 13U NYS play, 20-18, Saturday, October 10.
Blake Maile got the Crusaders on the board with a quarterback sack for a safety, making the score 6-2 in favor of the league's third-place Jets.
LVJ (3-2) extended the lead to 20-2 before Faith began a ferocious comeback, sparked by a 6-yard pass from Davis McKay to Brady Kotake. Ryder Henry notched a two-point PAT to give the Crusaders 10 points. Later, a 13-yard run by Henry and a successful PAT got FL to within two points, but that would be the final score, 20-18.
In the 12U game, the inexperienced Crusaders fell to the second-place Kingman Rebels, 34-0.
Both teams are back in action Saturday, October 17, at home. The 13U team (2-3) plays the Baller Boys (0-5) at 8:15 a.m., and the 12U team (0-5) plays 702 Blessed (2-3) at approximately 10 a.m.
10/8/26 | Crusaders dominate again at Lamb of God
The Red Rock Athletic Conference wrapped up the regular season at Lamb of God Lutheran School Thursday. The top six individuals in each race earned ribbons. Click the photos below to view the full results!
On Wednesday, October 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m., Faith hosts the four races of the RRAC Championship Meet. The start and finish lines can be seen from Faith's home-side stands at the football field.
10/8/26 | Maroon team finishes regular season undefeated
The Maroon 6th grade team finished the regular season on the road Thursday, October 8, topping Alexander Dawson, 21-0, to remain unbeaten.
The opening drive would start with a Sawyer Kofoed 14-yard catch and a Matthew Blumberg 18-yard reception. Then quarterback Gunnar Netski would keep one himself and get down to the goal line before ending the drive with a 1-yard TD pass to Sebastian Flores. The conversion was also good on a pass to Matthew Blumberg.
After forcing a turnover on downs on the Bears' opening drive of the half, Netski would find Landon Stilley for a 13-yard gain before finding Blumberg over the top for a 51-yard touchdown. The conversion was good on a trick play reverse pass from Blumberg to Netski.
On the very next play, Reed Cohen would intercept a pass and take it in for six. The conversion pass was again good to Blumberg.
Maroon heads into the postseason as the top team and number one seed in the Red Rock Athletic Conference tournament.
10/7/26 | Maroon tops Gray in nailbiter, 12-6
Maroon topped Gray in a Crusader rematch, 12-6, Wednesday, October 7.
Maroon built a 12-0 lead and then held off the Gray team from there.
Maroon’s first drive was set up by Landon Stilley with a 20-yard gain, before Ryder Netski caught passes on consecutive plays for 12 yards and then for an 18-yard TD.
Maroon forced a turnover on downs after a pass breakup from Gunnar Netski, who three plays later would find Sawyer Kofoed for an 8-yard touchdown pass making the score 12-0 at half.
Gray got on the board when Griffin Sutherland connected with Kaden Kim for a 40-yard pass to move the ball up the field. Gray capped the drive when Sutherland connected on a pass to Linken Hatada for a 14-yard TD.
On Maroon’s ensuing drive, Cameron Horn would intercept Gunnar Netski to set up Gray in the red zone with 1:40 to play. But after two sacks from Kaisen Hickly, Maroon would force a turnover on downs to win the game, 12-6.
It was the regular-season finale for Gray, but Maroon travels to Dawson tonight, October 8, at 4:30 p.m.
10/7/26 | Faith 6th grade falls to Doral Fire Mesa
At Alexander Dawson, the Faith 6th grade girls lost to Doral Fire Mesa, 18-6.

Londonbella Greison served seven straight points to boost the Crusader effort. The victory lifts Gray team's record to 5-2.
The team travels to Cornerstone on October 15 at 4:30 in a final regular season match before tourney play.

In what Coach Sophia Rivera said “looked like... hosting a serving clinic,” Faith’s Gray team beat Adelson Monday, October 5, 25-10, 25-7.
“Everyone who served got multiple points tonight,” Rivera said. “We still have two more to go before playoffs and we will finish strong.”
Gray team travels to Desert Torah tonight, October 6, at 4:30.
Also Monday, the Crusader 6th grade Maroon team lost to Las Vegas Day School Navy, 2-0.
10/3/26 | 13U football notches first win
The 13U Crusaders dominated the second half to upend the Henderson Punishers for their first win of the season in Nevada Youth Sports, 25-13, at Cheyenne High School.
The Punishers got on the board first, then held the lead, 7-6, after Faith scored on a 7-yard pass from Davis McKay to Luke Bailes, but missed the point after.
Henderson scored again, then failed on the PAT to extend the lead to eight before Deven Soto made a one-handed grab of a 28-yard McKay pass. Faith missed the PAT again, making the score 13-12.
The turning point began for Faith when Davis Madden made a huge hit on 4th down to stop a third-quarter Punishers drive. The Crusaders then took the lead for good when Sam Klein scored on a 24-yard scamper and Liam Barkhuff snagged a 3-yard pass for the PAT to give FL a 19-13 lead.
Faith got some insurance when Trevor Hallowell caught an 11-yard slant pass from McKay to give the game its final score, 25-13.
In the 12U game, the Northtown Wolfpack topped the Crusaders.
10/3/26 | Crusader girls flag football dominates Doral Saddle
In 7th and 8th grade league play at Doral Red Rock, the Faith 7th and 8th graders’ offense exploded for a 47-12 win over Doral Saddle.
Saddle then topped the Crusader 6th graders, 35-0.
10/4/26 | Crusader girls run to CSN title
At Floyd Lamb, Faith's girls took the College of Southern Nevada Invitational team title Saturday.
Sixth grader Olivia Tobin paced the Crusaders at 13:48.4 for a 5th place individual finish. She was followed by Lyla Baumgart (8th), Rosalie Matthew (11th), Mary Hanson (15th), Morgan Stelmachowicz (22nd), Ayla Lorenz (28th), Peyton Garcia (31st), Sadie Sanders (45th) and Penelope Sanderson (75th) out of 145 runners. Faith scored 57 points to top second place Somerset Sky Pointe (68 points).
In the boys’ race, Faith finished 4th with 105 points trailing Gunderson (34), Lied STEM Academy (46) and Leavitt (102). Sixth grader Robert Trares led the Crusaders at 12:47 to finish in 10th place. He was followed by Keiji McLemore (15th), John Carter (20th), Dylan Trares (26th), Carter Wada (53rd), Camilo Poteete (56th), Zach Franks (58th), Max Bruni (64th), Cayden Leary (96th), Max Kirch (107th), Daniel Douglass (112th) and Diego Rundell (122nd). There were 166 competitors.
The Crusader harriers are back in action Monday at Mountain's Edge Regional Park for the fifth NCSAA meet of the season, and they’ll travel to Lamb of God Thursday for the fourth Red Rock Conference meet. Both events start at 4:30 p.m.

9/30/26 | 6th grade girls flag football falls to Legacy Cadence
Battling in the 7th and 8th grade league, the Faith 6th graders dropped a contest, 28-13, vs. Legacy Cadence at Alexander Dawson Wednesday, September 30.
Faith is back in action Saturday at 4 p.m. at Doral Red Rock.
9/30/26 | Maroon seventh- and eighth-graders sweep Meadows Silver
After a rough start, falling behind 4-0 in Game 1, Faith’s 7th-8th grade Maroon team bounced back to sweep Meadows Silver in two games Wednesday, September 30 at home.
The Maroon team travels to Las Vegas Day School to play their Navy team Monday, October 5, at 4:30 p.m.
9/30/26 | Doral saddles 7th-8th Crusader Black with first loss
At Faith, Game 1 had 13 lead changes and an 18-12 Crusader lead, but Doral Saddle defeated 7th-8th Crusader Black 25-21, 25-12.
In the first game, Gabriella Gillis served Faith to a 4-0 lead, but Doral bounced back with five straight to start a string of back-and-forth scores until a Kelyn Dylan tip gave Faith a 10-8 lead. Gianna Porter would extend Faith’s lead to 13-9 at the service line until a Doral side-out followed their timeout.
Kinsley Coxon served three straight points to give Faith its biggest lead, 18-12, but then Doral began a comeback, tying things at 19 before Faith briefly edged ahead by one. From there, Doral would tie and take the lead for good, unfazed by a Charlie Ford kill to keep it close, 21-22.
Doral rode its momentum through the second game, capping it with a 6-point run to close out the night.
Crusader Black hosts Doral Red Rock on Monday, October 12, at 6 p.m.
9/30/26 | 6th grade Crusader Black dispatches Legacy Southwest, 25-9, 25-23
At Faith Lutheran, September 30, Legacy Southwest took a 2-0 lead in Game 1 and would never lead again. Faith’s Avery Vejabul rattled off five straight points, including four aces to give the home team a 6-3 lead. The Crusaders would never trail again, winning the match 25-9, 25-23.
Lillyana Abrao served 10 straight points to extend a 14-8 to 24-8 before pulling just wide left. Legacy surrendered Game 1 on a short serve.
Game 2 was much closer, though Vejabul served Faith to a 3-0 lead, then Paige Seifman served five straight to make it 10-3. Legacy would scratch back into it, drawing to within one, 10-9. Valentina Capdevila stepped up for faith and served three straight points to give the Crusaders a 14-9 cushion. Faith would slowly extend that lead to 24-17 before a strong serving run from the other side pushed the Crusaders into a nail-biter, 24-23. Faith triumphed in a long rally to finish the game and match, 25-23.
Crusader Black hosts Meadows Blue A at 5 p.m. on October 12.
9/29/26 | 6th Grade Maroon vs Adelson Lions
The 6th grade Maroon flag football team continued its roll at Adelson Tuesday, September 29 with a 25-0 victory.
On Maroon's first defensive drive, Gunnar Netski intercepted a deep pass.
On the ensuing offensive drive, Netski connected with Matthew Blumberg for a 12 yard reception, then Netski would keep one for 13 yards, before the drive ended with a 5 yard touchdown pass to Johnny Davood. The Crusaders led, 6-0, at halftime.
Coming out of half, Gunnar Netski found his brother Ryder Netski for a 30-yard gain. The Crusaders would then score on a reverse pass from Blumberg to Landon Stilley, with the conversion good on a pass from Gunnar Netski to Sawyer Kofoed. After a 4 & out, turnover on downs, Gunnar Netski would find Aison Tsitsinakis for a 21-yard touchdown.
On the first play of Adelson's next drive, Stilley would get an interception of his own, and on Maroon's first offensive play, Gunnar Netski found Rone Knox for a 24 yard touchdown.
Maroon is back in action October 7 against Crusader Gray.
9/28/26 | Volleyball notches wins at two levels
6th grade Maroon volleyball beat Cornerstone, 2-0, on Monday, September 28, and 7th-8th Gray followed with a 2-0 sweep over International Christian Academy.
The later match started with a lot of back and forth for the short-handed Crusaders. There were 5 lead changes before a 7-point run pushed Faith out to a 15-9 lead which they would never surrender.
On Wednesday, September 30, the 7th-8th gray team travels to Las Vegas Day School at 4:30 p.m. 6th grade Maroon plays at Day School Navy on October 5 at 4:30 p.m.
9/28/26 | Gold and Maroon win in 6th grade boys flag football
Maroon team defensive back Gunnar Netski had an interception on Gray’s opening drive. On the first offensive play play, Netski ran a quarterback keeper for 13 yards before throwing a touchdown to Landon Stilley for 20 yards.
Gray team threatened to tie or go ahead late in the first half, reaching the Maroon 10 yard line before giving up another interception to Netski had another interception as time expired.
On the opening drive of second half Gunnar Netski connected with Ryder Netski for a 22 yard gain, then Gunnar ran it for another 20 yards, before Landon Stilley took a screen pass 38 yards to the endzone.
Maroon won, 12-0, in game shortened slightly by lightning.
Elsewhere in 6th grade flag football play, Gold team beat Alexander Dawson, 18-6.
Maroon plays again Sept. 29 at home. Gray and Maroon have rematch October 7 at 6:30 p.m.
9/28/26 | Robert Trares shines among Crusader cross country runners
Monday, September 28, at James Regional Park, four Faith Lutheran cross country teams competed against a large conference field with 6th grader Robert Trares notching the top Faith Lutheran finish, taking first in the boys’ race.
Olivia Tobin had the next-best finish for the Crusaders, coming in 4th in the 5th and 6th grade girls’ race out of 106 runners. Lyla Baumgart had the next-best finish amongst all grades for Faith, taking sixth place in the 7th and 8th grade girls’ race out of 101 runners. Dylan Trares paced the Crusader 7th and 8th grade boys, finishing 21st out of 131 runners.
Savannah Ault, Sadie Ault and Rosalie Matthew also had Top 10 finishes for the 6th grade Crusader girls. Keiji McLemore, John Carter and Antonios Pytikakis had Top 10 finishes for the 6th grade boys. Mary Hanson finished 8th for the 7th and 8th grade girls. Roman Calvo finished 23rd for the 7th and 8th grade boys.
9/26/26 | Wolverines sweep Crusaders
At Anne and Dana White Stadium Saturday, September 26, the 12u Crusaders marched down inside the Wolverine 10-yard-line with four minutes to play, but the drive stalled out on the 9 to leave the score 12-8. In the earlier game, the 13u lost to the Wolverines, 24-0.
Both teams return to action Saturday, October 3 at Cheyenne High School. The 13u Crusaders face the Henderson Punishers at 8:15 a.m., and the 12u plays the Northtown Wolfpack at 10 a.m.
9/24/26 | Gray upends Gold, 18-6 (6th Grade Flag Football)
Gray team kicked off the scoring with a 4th down conversion touchdown from Griffin Sutherland to Cameron Horn 40 yards down the sideline.
Sutherland added a second touchdown on a run up the middle after making a few defenders miss. Cameron Horn also scored for Gray on a motion run from about the 10 yard line. No extra point conversions were successful.
Horn finished the game with five receptions, two touchdowns, an interception and three tackles for loss. Sutherland had 130 yards passing.
9/24/26 | 6th Grade Girls Flag Football wins in overtime
In overtime, Mya Gushue ran a reverse and handed it off to Journi Northington for the winning touchdown and Katherine Todd caught the conversion pass to put the Crusaders ahead of Doral Saddle, 26-19. Tatum Kuhnwald finished the game with an interception at the goal line to seal the win for Faith in the 6th-8th grade flag football league.
Northington and Taylor Redmond contributed long runs on offense for the Crusaders. Jillian McDonnell and Ainsley Dunn both had big passes at quarterback and Rome DiGregorio made key receptions throughout the game. Kuhnwald and Keira Stromer both helped pace the Faith offense.
On defense Faith was led by a host of Crusaders and some big stops were made by Margaux McCauley, Everly Payne, Nina Pimenta, Emi Arias and Hazel Phillips.
9/22/26 | 7th-8th Maroon slays the Knights
The 7th and 8th grade Maroon volleyball team dispatched the TCMI Knights Tuesday, 25-14 and 25-17. The Crusaders got a great serving run from Chloe Raymond and Abbey Anderson nailed her passing in serve receive.
“They were the toughest competition we’ve seen so far, but the girls did a great job staying focused,” coach Meg Kinkenon said. “Our serving was really strong and helped us finish the night in two.”
9/22/26 | 6th Grade Volleyball (Maroon B Team) downs Dawson
The 6th grade Maroon team won its season opener at Alexander Dawson, sweeping both games by more than 10 points each. Coaches lauded the Crusaders’ communication and passing vs.the Bears.
9/22/26 | 13u Tackle Football defeats the Las Vegas Lights, 16-12
The Crusaders got touchdowns by Brady Kotake and Trevor Hallowell, both thrown by Davis McKay. Coming up big on defense was Dylan Letestu with two fumble recoveries.
Coach Derek Montomery attributed the win to the Crusaders buying into the slogan: "Don't Cheat The Grind"
9/22/26 | 6th Grade Flag Football Maroon Team defeats Las Vegas Day School, 13-6
The Maroon flag football team started the season 1-0 with a stalwart defensive effort at Day School, topping the Scorpions, 13-6.
With the game on the line, Brady Foppes broke up a deep pass on 4th-and-2 in the final minute, forcing a turnover on downs and giving the Crusaders the ball back, where they took over with just a minute left and successfully kneeled out the clock to secure the win.
In the first half, Ryder Netski came up with a big interception, giving the Crusaders momentum and setting up their first scoring drive, Netski and Sawyer Kofoed then caught consecutive 20-yard passes to move the offense down the field. Gunnar Netski added a 10-yard run before he connected with his twin brother Ryder Netski for a 4-yard touchdown, giving the Crusaders the lead 6-0.
After forcing a 3 and out, on the next drive, Gunnar Netski broke off a 20-yard run. Kofoed made another big play with a 20-yard deep-ball reception and Rone Knox added a 10-yard catch to keep the drive moving before Gunnar Netski finished the drive with a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Offensive lineman Sebastian Flores then caught the 1-point conversion, making the score 13-0.
“For our first game, I was satisfied with the way we played, especially against a long-time rival like LVDS,” coach Josh Lee said. “We made some mistakes that we need to clean up, but I was proud of how the team competed and stayed together.”
Matthew Blumberg led the Maroon defense with 3 sacks.
“Our defense really stepped up and made some big plays when we needed them,” Lee said. “There’s still a lot we can improve on, but getting a win is a great way to start the season”
9/19/26 | Girls XC Takes Second at Boulder City
The girls and boys country teams competed in the Silver State 3K Saturday, Sept. 19, at
Memorial Park in Boulder City with the girls taking second place and the boys finishing 5th .
Gunderson Middle School won both competitions which featured 21 schools.
Lyla Baumgart and Mary Hanson finished 12th and 13th , respectively, to lead the Crusader
girls. Ayla Lorenz was 27th , Morgan Stelmachowicz was 31st , and Peyton Garcia was 37th out of
161 competitors.
Robert Trares was 5th in the boys race at 11:30.7. Dylan Trares was 32nd , Antonios
Pytikakis was 36th, Maximus Bruni was 66th , and Carter Wada was 77th out of 197 runners.
